Ayam Shadeed, an architectural engineer, is one of many young Palestinians unable to find gainful employment in their profession. To address such hardships, many Palestinian are embracing the power of entrepreneurship to make a change.
Step in MENACatalyst, an organization dedicated to transforming the entrepreneurship landscape in Palestine and across the region, with the support, services, and networks needed to help self-starters achieve considerable success. Without any hesistations Ayam Shadeed signed up for MC’s entrepreneurial support program and soon joined a group of enterprising women, working to become economically independent.
“Thanks to MENACatalyst, I had the opportunity to participate in many different training sessions and received mentorship from leading business and financial experts from inside and outside of Palestine. As a result, I was able to connect with a group of enterprising Palestinian women, develop a clear business plan, and learn from a team of leading professionals what it takes to launch a successful business,” says Ayam.
Ayam’s project revolves around her long-time love for agriculture, more specifically cultivating cacti. Not only does she cultivate cacti and an array of household and garden plants, she also creates and sells unique floral arrangements on her dedicated social media pages, via Facebook and Instagram.
Since joining MENACatalyst’s program, Ayam has been able to professionally launch her income-generating project and continues to benefit from a range of business and financial support services and access to networks of support to achieve her entrepreneurial potential.
